'''Elanthia''' was the planet on which the continent of [[Elanith]] was located.  The world was inhabited by many sentient races, including [[human]]s, [[elves]], [[Dwarf|dwarves]], [[halfling]]s, [[gnome]]s and many others.  The world consisted of two known continents, said [[Elanith]] and a second unnamed continent from which the [[erithian]] race hailed.

Elanthia is the name of the planet on which the characters of [[GemStone IV]] exist.  Considering the level of technology (elven airships, gnomish dirgibles, etc.) to the races of Elanthia, it's surprising how very little lore about the world exists.
